Trains From Raipur

Raipur is the capital of the Indian state of Chattisgarh. It is also the administrative headquarters of Raipur District. The city has Mahanadi river to its east which makes the land very fertile. The city is surrounded by Mailam Hills on the north-west, Chota Nagpur Plateau towards the north, Jharkhand lies in northeast and Baster Plateau on the south. Raipur for this reason is called the‘Rice bowl of India’. The city enjoys a tropical wet and dry climate with moderate rainfall.

Raipur Airport:

Raipur Airport is situated 20 km south from the city center. It is the only airport in Chattisgarg with very good air traffic. The airport is controlled by Airport Authority of India operating domestic flights to major Indian cities of New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, Indore, Aizawl, Ranchi, Ahmedabad, Bhopal and Nagpur. Passengers can board long hauled scheduled flights from nearest Kolkata or New Delhi International airports. For that, they have to board a domestic flight from Raipur airport to these places.
