Bilaspur is the second largest city in Chhattisgarh after Raipur. It is located on the bank of Arpa river. Bilaspur Airport:
The Bilaspur airport is situated in Chakarbhatta. It is 10 km far from the main city and is easily accessible through buses, cars, autos and two-wheelers. It is public airport operated by Airport Authority of India. At present only domestic flights are into service. The aviation center has a terminal building and 1 runway. Though not daily bass, the airport operates flights to Indian cities of Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Raipur, Indore, Pune, Bangalore and Bhubaneshwar.

The commuters and travelers can reach to Raipur Airport for boarding domestic as well as international flights. Similarly the foreign tourists have to land into Kolkata or New Delhi international airport and take a domestic flight to Raipur. From there trains and buses are available to Bilaspur. There are several cheap direct flights to Raipur from many Indian cities.
